San Diego County has more biodiversity than any other county in the mainland U.S.
As a conservation organization our focus is to preserve open-space in San Diego’s back country while we actively work to restore native habitat conditions on our properties.
We also partner with organizations and other private landowners to create and restore valuable native habitat for endemic plant and animal communities.
Some examples of our habitat restoration work in San Diego County include:
- Sage scrub habitat restoration for California Gnatcatcher in Lakeside
- Riparian habitat restoration for watershed protection and enhancement in Alpine
- Native grassland habitat restoration to protect and enhance San Diego Thornmint
- Palmer’s Grappling Hook populations at Wright’s Field MSCP Preserve.
