Preserving More Than 4,500 Acres of Land
Since 1990, Back Country Land Trust, our dedicated staff and community have achieved protection for over 4,000 acres of land in San Diego’s East County. San Diego is one of the most biologically diverse regions in the United States. We actively manage multiple preserves and conservation properties, some home to endangered and threatened plant and animal species. We work continuously to ensure habitat for resident and migrating wildlife while maintaining outdoor recreational space for the betterment of the community. It is our privilege and responsibility to care for these conserved lands.
